 The just concluded UDA nominations in Malava Constituency have taken a dramatic twist after youthful aspirant Ryan Injendi, son of the late MP Malulu Injendi, conceded defeat but strongly accused Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi of interfering in the process. In a viral video making rounds on social media, Ryan openly conceded loss to David Ndakwa, who emerged victorious with over 6,000 votes. However, he alleged that his competitor’s win was manipulated with the backing of the Prime CS’s office. At the beginning, many dismissed Ryan Injendi as too young and inexperienced to lead. But over the weeks, he has proven critics wrong. His energy, aura, and zeal have stood out  traversing the constituency tirelessly, engaging voters directly, and showing that he is ready to take the mantle from his late father. In contrast, some of his competitors on the UDA nomination ticket are finding it increasingly difficult to connect with the real voters on the ground.  The Malava by-election has taken a dramatic turn after DAP-K leader Eugene Wamalwa officially handed the party ticket to Seth Panyako. While this should have been a moment of celebration for Panyako and his supporters, the reality is far more complicated. Panyako’s eligibility remains under a dark cloud. His case is already in court, and on top of that, he is still awaiting clearance from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
