Betrayal Claims Rock Malava as Ryan Injendi Accuses Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi of Vote Manipulation

The just concluded UDA nominations in Malava Constituency have taken a dramatic twist after youthful aspirant Ryan Injendi, son of the late MP Malulu Injendi, conceded defeat but strongly accused Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi of interfering in the process.

In a viral video making rounds on social media, Ryan openly conceded loss to David Ndakwa, who emerged victorious with over 6,000 votes. However, he alleged that his competitor’s win was manipulated with the backing of the Prime CS’s office.

Ryan Injendi’s Bold Accusations

Ryan claimed that Mudavadi, despite enjoying political support from his late father, turned his back on the family by interfering with the party primaries. According to him, votes were tampered with to favor Ndakwa, raising concerns over transparency in the exercise.

“It is disappointing that the very person my father stood with is the one who betrayed us in Malava. The people’s will was overturned, and this is the biggest form of betrayal,” Ryan lamented.

Elders and Locals Speak Out

Elders and residents of Malava echoed Ryan’s sentiments, accusing Mudavadi of betraying the Injendi legacy and interfering with grassroots democracy. They warned that such political maneuvers risk alienating local communities and fracturing support for Mudavadi in the region.

The Bigger Picture

The accusations come at a time when Western Kenya politics is highly volatile, with leaders like Governor George Natembeya pushing for a united Mulembe front. The perception that senior leaders like Mudavadi are undermining youthful aspirants may fuel resentment and weaken his standing in the region.

As things stand, the spotlight is now on the IEBC clearance process and the November 27th by-election, where political realignments are expected to intensify. Ryan’s concession, coupled with his accusations, sets the stage for what could be a heated and unpredictable campaign season.
